I think today....

I might actually send in my resignation! No I don't have another job, but I think someone finally arrives at a point in their lives where not have a job doesn't matter. I can't deal with this stress. Always feeling like nothing is ever getting done because more is being put on my plate. Always second guessing myself because I'm being questioned like a 5 year old. If that is the case, why don't you just fire me then? Asking me stupid and easy questions to give you comfort is not really comforting. Also, always asking questions that I do not have the knowledge or experience is not really something that I enjoy or think it's a great learning experience. In fact it's actually very annoying and frustrating.

But I have stayed at this company for health insurance because our government feels that protecting big insurance companies is better than the citizens. Funny how we elected THEM to be our voice. So here I am waiting to leave but I can't....

Europen Discovery

mood: chipper chipper

2 weeks vacation in Europe and places visited:

London - Not that impressed, reminded me of my city. Not a surprise since London is the original city and my city is still new. There wasn't much time but I would like to visit the historical sites in more detail and have the chance to go to the British Museum.

Amsterdam - Not impressed. Surprised that the country is a Monarch and it was nice to see the Queen's castle in which she resides while visiting Amsterdam. However, there wasn't much to be impressed with Amsterdam. They offered two things that I was not into. Drugs and Sex. I did not enjoy my very brief glimpse of the Red Light District. Very sad to see...

Munich - Somewhat impressed. Took a 2 hour bike tour through Munich. Saw some very beautiful and historical sites in Munich. Saw the castle that the ruling family once resided in while Germany was a monarch, before being overthrown. Also, saw building with marks left by the bombing during WWII and memorial for those who tried to resist during WWII. What I did not like was that the country drank beer and eat pork and that was what they were known for. Since I do not drink and I don't eat meat, I had nothing to do there during the night.

St. Goar - Impressed. St. Goar was located in the beautiful Rhine Valley, which is known for it's castles that surround it. The few castles I was able to see were beautiful and the town was so quint. It was like being transported back into time. I only wish we had more time to explore the castles, unfortunately, we just didn't have time.

Austria - Somewhat impressed. Some people did white water rafting, I wanted to participate but I didn't know how to swim. Afterwards, went to the Swarovski factory and saw the Swarovski Museum. Afterwards, went to a little sking town in Itter. Once again it was beautiful! Felt like I was back in time.

Europen Discovery part 2

Venice - Somewhat impressed. It was beautiful. There is no room for cars or any other kind of transportation. Only walking. It was interesting that there was no street signs, only arrows pointing to main piazzas. Walked around and got lost and saw the streets of Venice. They were small and narrow but interesting to see. They had expensive stores such as Chanel. Got to see Venetican glass being made, which was very interesting. Saw the famous Church and Doge Palace and Museum. Had the famous Italian coffee in the afternoon, and listen to live music being played in the piazza. That night we stayed at a Motel and one of the worst places we stayed. Went on a gondala around Venice and that's when I realized that the government didn't care about their property. The building looked that they were going to fall down. That was disappointing to see.

Rome - Impressed. Got our first glimpse of Rome. Had a mini walking tour of Rome and saw some of the famous sites, such as the famous water fountain that people made wishes and had first taste of Gelato. That night went to bar with everyone for a little bit. There was a slut on the trip who flirted with every guy. Bus driver got drunk and came to her room, kept knocking and wouldn't leave. Canadian cop tried to stop him but he wouldn't leave and eventually left after the bus driver punched the Canadian cop. What's amazing is that my friend and I slept through the entire thing and our room was right next door to the slut's room. Second day at room we went to Vacatian Museum and saw the Sistine Chapel. It was funny that all the ceiling before the sistine chapel were beautiful and ornate. Once we finally got to the sistine chapel it was amazing to see one man had painted that ceiling but wasn't as impressive as the ones that came before it. Afterwards, saw the Roman Forum (Ancient Rome ruins) and it was a dream come true. Got to see Caesar's grave and walk through roman ruins. Then went to the Colosseum which was amazing to stand and look down at the stage where the original Gladiators fought for their lives. Dream come to true to stand in one of the last wonders of the world (for me at least). Then had more Gelatos for the rest of the day! *YUM*

Florance - Somewhat impressed. Bus driver got changed. Florance was good to see and it was amazing to see that they had centuries old statues still out on the piazza. Had a small walking tour of Florance and walked around to do some shopping. It was beautiful but my feet were tired and I was ready to call it a night.

Lurcene - Somewhat impressed. Went up to the Alps and saw one of the most amazing views. Then had some nice hot chocolate on the top. Afterwards, went shopping for authentic swiss knives and watches. Took a nap and then went to have hotel chocolate by the river. Our hotel was once a jail turned into a hotel. Had one of the best sleeps of the trip. No light came in and the walls were thick there wasn't much noise that came in either. Loved it!

Paris - Impressed. First night got sick so wasn't able to go to the top of eiffel tower but did get to see it and take my picture with it. I fell in love with Paris as soon as we got there. I know that if given the chance I would love to live there for awhile. The French definitely take care of their properties. Everything...everything was beautiful and felt like it was just yesterday it was built. The Louvre was BEAUTIFUL!!!! It was where Louis XVI lived before deciding that it was to small for him (why I don't know since it was huge) and went on to built Versie. I saw all the building Napoleon built, modeled after the Roman Empire and saw the Notre Dame. Did some shopping and went onto see the Cabaret Show for my last night in Paris.

Went to the airport the next day to go home. I would love to go back but not with a tour, because there wasn't enough time with the tour group to see everything. Also, lots of people wanted to just party and didn't care about the sites. Now I have seen it, I know what I want to see and will like to go back to go back to certain countries to explore more. There's lots of castles in Europe and I would like to live in one if given a chance...Europe in it of itself was a amazing experience!!!!!
